Ituran's origins trace back to its pioneering work in stolen vehicle recovery (SVR), utilizing technology initially developed for the Israeli Air Force to locate and rescue downed pilots. Recognizing the potential of this advanced tracking technology, founder Izi Sheratzki and his partners identified a transformative opportunity: adapting military-grade technology to solve a critical challenge for insurance companies and car owners - recovering stolen vehicles.
